Personalised Training pLANS

We offer personalised training plans for runners of varying abilities and ambitions. We pride ourselves on giving training plans that work with people's schedules whilst making sure people reach their goals. Our training plans are based heavily on science and knowledge acquired from leading research and practices from world renowned coaches; Jack Daniels, Renato Canova and Aurthur Lydiard to name a few. What does a personalised Training Plan involve?

"There are champions everywhere. Every street's got them. All we need to do is train them properly" - Aurthur Lydiard

  • Weekly, Progressive training plans written every sunday personal to YOU

  • 1-1 or virutal goal specific sessions with personalised training paces and heart rate zones.

  • FREE access to North East Project group sessions.

  • Periodisation of training to allow you to always be the best you can be. We don't follow the traditional 7 day cycle.

  • Running Specific Strength & C0nditioning sessions personal to YOU 

  • Strong communication between the athlete and the coach with regular updates via text, email, phone, in person and Final Surge. 

Goal Specific

Sessions will be designed to hit your goals. Our plans have a developmental aspect to them thereby each month will build on the previous month.

S&C Support

All plans will come with a specific strength and conditioning plan to make you a stronger, faster and injury resistant runner.

Race Planning

Whether you are gearing up for your first 5k or marathon our plans will be periodised. Thus giving you the best possible chance on race day.

1-1 Support

Each week your assigned coach will be in contact with you. Good communication between athlete and coach is essential for a training plan to be succesful.

My 5k, 10k, and half marathon times have improved significantly. My 5k time has improved from 21:50 to sub 20 knocking off 2 minutes in just 15 weeks.

What does NEP offer differently compared to other running communities?  They are very friendly, supportive to all abilities, and offer a training program with Strength & Conditioning sessions & Yoga. They are dedicated coaches, and suit each individual needs , and give so much encouragement . And workshops are so different and enjoyable

- 5k 25:11 to 22.17

- 10k 59.13 to 49.29

- Half Marathon 1.55.37 (previous best in 2006!)

Why you joined NEP:  To improve my stamina and lose weight 

What does NEP offer differently compared to other running communities? A friendly community that allows for all abilities to improve their running ability and overall fitness with science behind all training methods.

 

How much have you improved: Having not ran at all before joining NEP and going from running 2 days a week with the group to now running up to 60 miles a week. Also, I have managed to bring my 5K pb down by nearly 10 minutes with the help of team NEP. It was around 28 minutes when I joined and is now 18:49 as of two weeks ago which was also achieved in an NEP event.

Finally, why others should join NEP:  

I would encourage anyone looking to improve their overall fitness level or running ability to join NEP. The coaches are extremely supportive and knowledgeable about the sport with plenty of experience themselves and a genuine passion for running. Additionally, the athletes involved in NEP are a very supportive and fun group to train with who respect everyone’s running ability and only encourage those who join.
